VISION

Conceptualized by Sohan Roy, a globally acclaimed film director, producer, exhibitor, writer, project designer with many OSCAR listings to his credit & a proven leader attributed with pioneering innovations in Maritime, Medical, Movie and Media industries; Indywood envisages sweeping and revolutionary changes in the production, screening and marketing strategies as well as the business model of the Indian cinema. The successful completion of the project is expected to elevate India as a global hub of the film industry. Project Indywood is designed truly in line with prime minister of India Narendra Modi's ' Make in India ' policy.

To initiate $ 10 Billion investments in India by a consortium of 2000 Corporate Firms & NRI Investors in 5 years, through 10,000 New 4K Projection Multiplexes, 100,000 2K Projection Home Cinemas, Film Studios, Animation/VFX studios and Film Schools conforming to international standards

To set up First Film Carnival in the World with Film Festival, Film Market, Red Carpets, Awards,Entertainments, Theme park, Talent Hunt , Celebrity Sports, Conferences, Panel Discussions, Network Parties, Investor meets etc; to promote Film Tourism.

To promote the concept of Film Tourism by bringing in international film projects, industrial delegates and tourists to India

To have the World’s largest Film Festival, Film Market & International award functions in India within 5 years

To form India based ‘World Film Society’ to operate as the integration hub of the world film industry and its associations

To launch international Co-Production Projects from India using Indian talents to attract foreign investment into India

Project Indywood aims to explore new avenues of marketing for Indian cinema. The promotion and sale of regional contents in international market, exchange of local technologies and manpower, global networking of major production houses and collaborative ventures making use of local talents are some of the key aspects of the project. Indywood Film Carnival 2017 (IIIrd Edition) - The Ultimate Film Carnival of the world

Indywood Film Carnival will take place at the World's Largest Film Studio - Ramoji Film City in December 1-4; 2017.The carnival will consist of five major segments- All Lights India International Film Festival, Indywood Film Market, International Film Business Awards, Indywood Excellence Awards, Conference & Talent Hunt. The event is targeting over 3,000 delegates and 10,000 footfalls from over 75 countries and is expected to trigger revolutionary changes in universal cinema industry. This will be the first film carnival in the world with film festival, film market, awards, talent hunt, red carpets, entertainments, conferences, network parties, celebrity sports, investor meets etc. happening at the world’s largest film studio primarily to promote film tourism.

India ranks top in terms of theatrical admissions and the number of films produced every year. But the Indian film industry lags behind in terms of revenue generation and achieving global recognition. This is due to the fragmentation on the basis of language and geographical barriers within the country. Sohan Roy, a visionary with astute business acumen has the key for this issue.
